Cabel Electronic: The story of the Bergamo cooperative in the forgotten console war

Operating between 1971 and 2002, Cabel (later Cabel Electronic) was an Italian company based in Curno (Bergamo) operating in the audiovisual equipment and game console industry. Between 1977 and 1984, Cabel Electronic produced seven different consoles, of which hundreds of thousands were sold both in Italy and abroad, mainly in West Germany, France and Spain. Telegioca, Telegun, Teleboy, Lem 2000, Universal Game Computer, TelesTar and Sirius are now sought-after collectors' items, but little is known about the company that produced them. Until now.

Written after five years of field research and information gathering, this book tells a forgotten story about which almost nothing is known. The foundation, rise and fall of Cabel Electronic and the first console war fought in Italy between a number of domestic and foreign companies, including Zanussi, Reel, Polistil, Atari and Commodore.
